Abbie Smith to Host Pancakes for Pride Event

To celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month, Abbie Smith for Mayor will be hosting a Pancakes for Pride event on Saturday, June 29, where a free pancake breakfast will be served to members of the Kokomo community. The breakfast will be an opportunity for local LGBTQ+ individuals and allies to meet with Abbie and share with her what issues they care about the most. This event takes place on the last weekend of LGBTQ+ Pride Month, which was established as a way to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and commemorate the anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising in 1969.  Continue reading
